Specifications include, but are not limited to: General responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Serve as Inspector of Record (IOR) when designated by FMD. The FMD Inspector(s) of Record will act as the agent of the FMD at the project site to insure that the project is constructed according to the approved plans and specifications. The IOR will report to the FMD and the Division’s Project Managers. The Division’s Project Managers will provide direction to the IOR. 2. Possess actual knowledge obtained by his or her personal inspection of the work of construction in all stages of its progress to ensure that the requirements of the approved plans and specifications are being executed. 3. Primary responsibility for Special Inspections, including all services delineated under the Basic Services required in Section B below. 4. Provide oversight for the services of an inspection and testing agency. 5. Provide to the FMD independent, objective reports of the contractors performing the work requiring special inspections. 6. Preparation of final reports of special inspections for review and approval by FMD, which shall then be submitted to Construction Industries Division (CID) by the General Contractor (GC), prior to final building inspection approval and issuance of a Certificate of Occupancy.
