Specifications include, but are not limited to: The contracts resulting from this solicitation will be for call when needed single engine air tanker services and call when needed water scoop services in support of water/retardant applications for fire suppression/forest management applications. One or more single engine air tanker and/or fireboss operated by a qualified pilot as per specifications. An FAA approved hopper and gating system, service truck, and necessary communications equipment and other items are required as per specifications. The State’s need for “Call When Needed” aircraft exists mainly during the months of March, April and May. The Part A price sheet covers prices from vendors for this portion of any given contract year for SEAT aircraft and Part C price sheet covers water scoop aircraft during portion of the given contract year. The Part B (SEAT) and Part D (water scoop) price sheet covers the remainder of any given calendar year. If you are bidding on SEAT aircraft you must fill out both A & B which will be awarded to one contractor. If you are bidding on water scoop (Fireboss) aircraft you must fill out both C & D which will be awarded to one contractor. You may bid on only A & B or only C & D or both.
