Specifications include, but are not limited to: Provide food to the CMHC Detox clients daily to include breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Food will be of good quality, properly prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, and served in sufficient quantities and frequency to meet the daily nutritional needs of each client. Follow food safety guidelines when preparing food and transferring food to the detox unit. Share kitchen inspection reports as performed by the Douglas County Health Department when requested. Ensure that written menus are based on the Food Guide Pyramid or equivalent and modified to accommodate special diets as appropriate. Provide copies of menus ongoing for Detox files Provide condiments and other items needed for meals Provide a point of contact for CMHC Detox staff to promote positive collaboration Order foods as directed by CMHC Detox services that supplements meals or snacks for the program. These items that are outside meals will be billed monthly on the month’s invoice. CMHC Detox Shall: Provide food to clients following food safety standards including keeping food in/on warming device to ensure that a proper temperature is maintained for food safety. Notify vendor of the number of meals needed on a daily basis in a mutually agreed upon manner. Return any food service items, i.e., pans, serving utensils, etc. within 48 hours of delivery to CMHC Detox. Be responsible for the food accommodation process and notify vendor when alternative meals are needed.
