Specifications include, but are not limited to: Furnish all labor and equipment necessary to mow all grassy areas indicated on the attached site map with green polygons. Mowing will be done within three (3) days of City’s request. The mowing will start about May 1 and will continue until approximately October 15. The contractor will not mow any areas without prior City authorization. One (1) order number will be issued to the low bidder based upon low lump sum total. Mowing will be performed between the hours of 6:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The contractor will be paid in accordance with his bid price per cutting. The contractor will mow all grassy areas at each site to an average height of three (3) inches. The contractor will use rotary mowers to perform the majority of the work under this contract. Areas that are mowed shall be hand trimmed the same day. Hand trimming will be required in all areas where rotary mowers cannot access. Hand trimming will be performed with the aid of a string trimmer or any other suitable hand trimmer. Hand trimming will be performed around all guard posts, sign posts, power poles, chain link fences, trees, and along all building perimeter walls where grass or any vegetation is growing. The contractor will trim around any other equipment, which may be permanently or temporarily on each site. It is the intent of the hand trimming to maintain all grassy areas to an average height of three (3) inches.
