Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project includes replacement of air handling units and associated return fans; installation of a new dehumidification air handling unit to replace the air handler serving the pipe gallery; installation of a new condensing hot water boiler plant; replacement of the chilled water pumps and exhaust fans; installation of a new HVAC control system to serve all HVAC equipment, and installation of a new cooling system for the control room. The work also includes lighting replacement throughout the WTP, replacement of variable air volume (VAV) boxes, drop ceiling system replacement, and decommissioning the existing Trombe Wall. Contractors submitting a bid for this project shall hold a current Prequalification Certificate in the category of “Electrical” from the State of Connecticut Department of Administrative Services (DAS). A copy of the Contractor’s DAS Prequalification Certificate and Update (Bid) Statement must be submitted with the bid.
