Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. MISCELLANEOUS PLUMBING SERVICES WORK: 1.1 Work shall be performed at various County facilities located throughout Prince William County and shall include, but is not limited to: a. Plumbing repairs, testing, gas fitting, alterations, new installations, backflow device testing, well water systems, septic systems, drain line cleaning and jetting, drain line video camera inspections, preventive maintenance, plumbing equipment replacement, water heaters, sump pumps, lift pumps, and circulating pumps. 1.2 Work may also include repair or restoration of plumbing services to any building services connection or fixture, to include: a. Water and fire sprinkler mains, gas service, sanitary and storm drain lines, from the street to the exterior connection of a building that has been determined to be a county responsibility. 2. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS: 2.1 The Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment, tools, transportation, and labor for Miscellaneous Plumbing Services. 2.2 The Contractor shall provide trained, licensed, plumbers, who are certified and qualified to repair, replace, and install residential and commercial building plumbing equipment, components, and related systems. 2.3 The Contractor shall be responsible for maintaining traffic flow, and for the protection and safety of vehicles and pedestrians in the area affected by any Contract work. a. The Contractor shall provide all signs, barricades, flashers, and flag-personnel required to maintain traffic flow and safety. Signs and other traffic control devices shall be in accordance with the most current VDOT standards. b. At least one Contractor employee at each site where traffic control is required shall be a VDOT certified flagger trained in Basic Work Zone Traffic Control. 2.4 The Contractor shall immediately notify the County Project Manager of any deficiencies identified during inspections which could not be adjusted or corrected as part of the service and could jeopardize the ability of the system to function as intended. 2.5 The Contractor is responsible for obtaining ALL appropriate permits and to have a representative on-site at the County's facility for any inspections. The Contractor shall be reimbursed for permit charges at cost with NO markup.
