Specifications include, but are not limited to: DOC requests proposals to contract for community-based, certified doula services throughout the state, making services available to incarcerated pregnant persons approved for Healthy Start, and participants already released. Released participants can be located anywhere in the state. The DOC is seeking to contract with service providers in all regions of Minnesota, partnering to address the needs of yet to be known participants and doing so with partners who are prepared to serve this population. These doula services include pre and post-natal meetings and support during labor and delivery. Additional services for lactation support and parenting education may also be included
