Specifications include, but are not limited to: The proposed Silver Springs Maintenance Station is needed to improve response times to nearby trafficand highway-related incidents and to provide for adequate staffing and resources for maintaining highways in the surrounding area, including US Highway 50 (US-50), US Highway 95A (US-95A), and State Route 439 (SR-439) (USA Parkway). The proposed Silver Springs maintenance station site is located at the crew coverage boundaries of four (4) different DEPARTMENT maintenance crews: Carson City, Fallon, Fernley, and Yerington. Establishing a maintenance station at the proposed location will greatly benefit the transportation needs and improve transportation safety in the immediate area. To achieve this, the DEPARTMENT requires the service of a licensed Architect and Engineers who are experienced with this type of design. The DEPARTMENT is seeking professionals who are current in this field of professional practice and can provide design services (stamped drawings and specifications) as required by the State Public Works Division building permit regulations and local authorities having jurisdiction (AHJ), and construction support services for the purposes of ultimately constructing the Silver Springs Maintenance Station.
