Specifications include, but are not limited to: The ODHS CW Youth Transitions Program holds an annual Teen Retreat for Young People during the summer season. The Contract resulting from this RFP shall provide those services for CW. ODHS strives to make these Retreats informative, healthy, and fun for Participants. Retreat activities include speakers, activities, workshops, and guided discussion groups related to achieving a state of well-being, both mentally and physically, with an emphasis on healthy lifestyles, including exposure to new types of recreational activities and relaxation strategies, including artistic outlets, yoga, meditation, nature hikes, swimming or other water activities, etc. The philosophy of the CW Youth Transitions Program is to empower, encourage, and allow Young People to gain the knowledge, skills and abilities to make a successful transition to self-sufficiency and adulthood. This outcome can only be achieved if they’re equipped to handle the many stressors they face as they transition to adulthood. Teen Retreats are to be held each summer for a 5 year period. Each Retreat shall be a maximum of four days/three overnights, with only partial activities on the first and last day. Each Retreat shall be held in a single location, with day activities, overnight lodging, meals and snacks, events, and activities being the responsibility of the successful Provider. The total number of Young People attending each Retreat may vary from a minimum of 70 to a maximum of 100 Participants.
