Specifications include, but are not limited to: Salt Lake City Corporation, on behalf of the Redevelopment Agency of Salt Lake City is soliciting competitive sealed proposals from qualified consultants to assemble and provide a multi-faceted Design Consultant Team to facilitate a collaborative process amongst new and existing stakeholders that will result in a mutually shared vision of success for the Ballpark Site and neighboring community resulting in an Urban Design Framework that will guide the Site’s future redevelopment, land uses, and programming. The Urban Design Framework that the Design Consultant Team will create should identify ways by which future development of the Site may achieve the following: 1. Integrate human-centered design – keeping the characteristics and needs of the community at the forefront. 2. Integrate the Ballpark NEXT Guiding Principles, to be finalized by the community in early 2024. 3. Increase safety and connectivity to and through the Site as well as throughout the surrounding Ballpark neighborhood. 4. Activate the Site year-round to attract residents and visitors alike. 5. Support the economic growth of the Ballpark neighborhood. 6. Incorporate programmatic concepts involving health and wellness that promote the CDC’s Social Determinants of Health. 7. Reimagine how the existing stadium, components of the existing stadium, and/or the Ballpark’s legacy can be incorporated on the Site.
