Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1.1 Review the position profile and proposed recruitment process (both provided by the City) and provide suggestions to the City to attract and select the best possible candidates. The City will design the recruitment brochure. 1.2 The Firm will familiarize itself with the key requirements of the position, including but not limited to, the City’s philosophy regarding compensation, required qualifications, and requirements for residency, and will ensure that candidates recruited by the Firm will be made aware of these requirements. 1.3 Actively recruit highly qualified candidates, with special emphasis on contacting potential candidates who may not be actively seeking employment. 1.4 Provide a comprehensive list of recommended candidates for the position, based on submitted materials and follow-up phone interviews conducted by Firm. 1.5 The Firm will provide guidance to the City regarding desired salary of recommended candidate pool. The Firm will provide EEO data to the City at the close of the search. 1.6 The City anticipates requiring at least one face-to-face meeting with the selected Firm at the start of the recruitment process. The City anticipates remaining communication with the selected Firm can be accomplished with phone/video conferences. 1.7 The City will schedule interviews (including making all travel arrangements), conduct reference checks on finalists, and engage in salary negotiations with the selected candidate. 1.8 If the selected candidate leaves City employment within 18 months of hiring, the Firm shall reengage the recruitment process and provide additional viable candidates at no additional charge.
