Specifications include, but are not limited to: The project is to improve the existing wastewater treatment system facilities to meet more stringent effluent limits with regards to Phosphorus and Escherichia coli (E. Coli) parameters. Also, to upgrade aging facilities and provide improvements to all the components of the existing oxidation ditch system, including headworks, oxidation ditch, clarifier, pumping systems, and sludge storage. The improvements will include a new headworks building and relocating the existing fine screen, a new selector process tank to promote biological phosphorus removal, minor modifications to the oxidation ditch and clarifier, an addition of a chemical feed system and room, and upgrading the sludge storage tank. A new aerobic digester system will be constructed to provide waste sludge treatment and additional storage before hauling offsite.
