Specifications include, but are not limited to: (a) Upon the request of the CITY as hereinafter defined, the CONTRACTOR shall tow any vehicle located in the CITY in the manner provided in this contract. Upon request of the CITY the CONTRACTOR shall also tow or move any other object in the CITY that is reasonably capable of being towed or moved with the CONTRACTOR's towing equipment. The following city employees may make such requests for the CITY while on duty and acting in their official capacity: (1) Police officers; (2) The city manager and assistant city manager; (3) The director of public works or his designee; (4) The fire chief or his designee; (5) The harbormaster or his designee; (6) Such other officers or employees as the city manager designates. (b) The CONTRACTOR shall store the vehicles and other objects described in subsection (a) of this section at the request of the CITY. All such storage shall comply with all applicable zoning, building and other laws. AGREEMENT KETCHIKAN POLICE DEPARTMENT VEHICLE TOWING, STORAGE AND DISPOSAL Contract No. 23-35 AGREEMENT Page A 2 (c) The CONTRACTOR shall also store any vehicle or other property that the CITY delivers for storage to the CONTRACTOR's storage facility. All such storage shall comply with all applicable zoning, building and other laws. (d) The CONTRACTOR's hours of operation during which CONTRACTOR's towing services under this section shall be available twenty-four (24) hours per day and seven (7) days per week. Section 1.04: Towing Equipment and Related Services. (a) The CONTRACTOR shall furnish all vehicles, equipment, personnel, materials and storage areas necessary to perform the services described in this contract in a timely and proper manner. Each towing vehicle shall be equipped with appropriate tools and equipment necessary to legally render the services to be provided under this contract and as the Contract Administrator may require. (b) The CONTRACTOR shall respond to all calls from the CITY for towing and related services as promptly as is feasible, and in any event within thirty (30) minutes after any call received between 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., and within forty-five (45) minutes after any call received between 6:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (c) The CONTRACTOR shall equip all towing vehicles with two-way radios to communicate with the CONTRACTOR's dispatch facility.
