Specifications include, but are not limited to: The University of Oregon is seeking an experienced retail market operator interested in leasing and operating a market on the new UO Portland campus. An Alternative Competive Procurement seeking interested partners has been posted to UO’s Business Opportunites Site found here: https://pcs.uoregon.edu/content/business-opportunities. The UO Portland campus will become home to the new Ballmer Institute for Children’s Behavioral Health and current UO academic and research programs located in Old Town, Portland. The move to the 19-acre property (formerly Concordia University) is the next chapter of the university’s long academic presence in Portland that dates back to 1905. The new campus will be home to graduate programs in multimedia journalism, strategic communication, architecture, sports product design, school psychology, executive mba, sports product management and law, as well as undergraduate students studying in the Ballmer Institute and in product design. Research Centers include Urbanism Next, Agora Journalism Center, Energy Studies in Building Laboratory, Prevention Sciences Institute and Labor Education and Research Center. The market space is approximately 400 sq. ft. (expandable to 705 sq. ft.) located at 2823 NE Holman St, in the Portland Campus Center. The Portland Campus Center will be akin to a Student Union on campus and include a variety of student services such as mail, student life, campus safety, information services, lab spaces, future food venues, and event spaces. The goal is to collaborate with a strong market operator able and willing to grow with our new campus and provide a variety of pre-packaged fresh food and snack foods, school supplies, spirit gear, and sundries to support our campus community. The UO Portland campus intends to work with the chosen operator in partnership as we build a welcoming and inclusive community.
