Specifications include, but are not limited to: maintain the unimproved acreage by clipping or mowing the open space at least twice a growing season to maintain the property in a neat and clean condition, with the mowing or clipping timed to best control weeds and weed propagation. One or both mowings may be performed in conjunction with the harvesting of hay. Any hay harvested by the farmer is theirs to keep and use or dispose of as they see fit. The County reserves the right to lease or sell any portion of, or all of, the unimproved land at any time, without regard, or compensation, for any standing hay crop. The farmer should keep in mind the possibility that a portion, or all, of the unimproved land may be developed before they can remove the hay when the farmer makes decisions concerning how much investment they will make in the land.
