Specifications include, but are not limited to: This scope of work outlines the City of New Britain’s tasks to supplement and expand the Cityof New Britain section of the Regional Transportation Safety Plan (RTSP) and includes a moredetailed outline of tasks than were included in the Safe Streets and Roads for All (SS4A) ActionPlan grant application submitted to the U.S. Department of Transportation in September 2022.The City was a joint applicant in the 2022 grant to prepare a “Deep Dive” Safety Action Plan for the City of New Britain. The eight items listed below outline the overall City of New Britain plan to update, expand and supplement the RTSP as a Safety Action Plan consistent with the eight action plan components as recently outlined in the SS4A Notice of Funding Opportunity issued in April 2023. The consultant will be primarily responsibility for these eight items with review and support of City of New Britain staff. 1.Leadership Commitment and Goal Setting The Consultant will work with the City’s Mayor, the CRCOG Region, the New Britain City Council, the City’s Police Department & Legal Traffic Authority, and the Public Works Department to establish a goal, commitment, and target date to eliminate roadways fatalities and serious injuries.2.Safe Streets Task Force The Consultant will assist the City to form a Safe Streets Task Force that includes key City staff and community stakeholders including such groups as business and property owners, City
