Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Contractor shall remove and salvage existing limestone curb at the locations shown on the plans or as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall exercise extreme care when removing the limestone curb so as not to damage the sections. The salvaged limestone curb that are in good, unbroken condition of at least three feet in length shall be salvaged and stored in a location and manor to prevent damage. All damaged limestone curb sections shall be disposed of immediately off-site by the Contractor. The Contractor shall store salvaged limestone curb in such a manner as to prevent damage to the curb until it is ready for use at some point in the future. Any limestone curb in good condition should be salvaged and stored on-site away from traffic and in City right of way along the project corridor. The Contractor shall refer to the Engineer to determine if unneeded curb are to be salvaged for landscaping purposes or disposed of. Measurement and payment for removal and salvaging of existing limestone curb shall be paid for at the contract unit price bid per linear foot for the pay item “Remove and Salvage Limestone Curb”. Said payment shall be full compensation for furnishing all labor, equipment, and material required for removal, salvaging, storage, transporting and all other incidental items required to complete the work associated with removal and salvaging of the existing limestone curb on the project
