Specifications include, but are not limited to: ARCHITECTURAL/ENGINEERING SERVICES - The architect/engineer will be expected to provide basic architectural and engineering services. Firms may also provide alternate cost for permittable construction documents including architecture, civil, landscape architecture, interior design, structural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and other authorized design services appropriate to the project. The “alternate cost” should include a full range of professional design services that include the following customary services. Architectural services; Civil Engineering services; Structural Engineering services; Mechanical, electrical & plumbing, and fire protection services; Landscape design services; Data and Telecommunications. Design service responsibilities may also include, but are not limited to the following consultant services: Initial facility programming analysis involving Police Department/Court personnel; Preparation of initial conceptual building elevations, building layout/floor plan, and site plan; Detailed topographic survey as necessary for planning and design of the project; Locate and/or establish property and easement boundaries; Soil investigations and geotechnical analysis as necessary to determine structural design; Preparation of detailed plans and specifications for permittable construction documents and supporting documentation for construction bid package (optional). Preparation of estimate of probable cost of constructed facility at each major design milestone (preliminary, design development, and construction plan); Coordination and meetings with City Administration; Preparation of record drawings. Adherence to all applicable City regulations and standards and other applicable standards and specifications.
