Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Village of Sussex is interested in obtaining the professional services of an Engineering Consultant to design and prepare two separate construction contracts, project plans and specifications, and cost estimates: one for the Village’s “2025 Road Program” project and one for the Village’s “Parking Lots Rehabilitation” project. The 2025 Road Program project is located north of Good Hope Road, south of Plainview Road, east of Maple Avenue, and west of the CN railroad tracks consisting of approximately 8.3 miles of road. It also includes approximately 0.5 mile of Richmond Road located west of STH 164 to the Village limits. Additionally, there will be some hydrant/water valve work along Waukesha Avenue and at Hamilton School District. The Parking Lots Rehabilitation project includes rehabilitation of four separate parking lots, including driveways: one located at the Public Safety Building (N63 W24459 Main Street); one at the Public Works Garage (N59W23525 Clover Drive); one at the Water Pollution Control Facility (N59W23551 Clover Drive); and one at the Armory Park (W239N5730 Maple Avenue). Tasks for both of the projects will include, but are not limited to, surveying and design, drafting, contract plans and specification preparation, cost estimates, and bidding, along with bid analysis, and contractor recommendations, if needed. Construction services will be handled separately and are not part of this proposal. The 2025 Road Program project includes, but is not limited to, repairs to all public utilities – sanitary and storm sewer, water main; stormwater ponds rehabilitation and grading for ditches and swales. This will include: repair and/or replacement of sanitary and storm structures and pipes; repair and/or replacement of water system components, including sampling stations; installation of new water main valves; spot repair and/or replacement of curb and gutter; replacement of concrete pavement; spot repair and/or replacement of sidewalks, detectable warning fields, and driveways (only as necessary); new curb and gutter; new sidewalks; base patching; the resurfacing and/or replacement of roadway pavements; grading to reestablish gravel shoulders and ditches; repair of gravel shoulders; regrading along ditches and overflow swales, including at culverts and flumes; and some storm sewer outfalls/stormwater pond repairs. Roadway repairs will typically be mill, base patch, and resurface. Most roads have curb and gutter, and storm sewer. Some roads only have gravel shoulders and ditches. The 2025 Road Program project will take place within the Pine Ridge, Woodside Ridge, Hidden Hills, Majestic Heights, Coldwater Creek, Ridgeview, and Braddock Place Subdivisions, including Water Tower Court, Woodside Road, Richmond Road, along a section of Waukesha Avenue, and at the Hamilton School District (See attached maps). Streets not included are: Good Hope Road, Maple Avenue, and Plainview Road. The Parking Lots Rehabilitation project (See attached map) includes, but is not limited, to the following work at each parking lot: Public Safety Building Driveways and Parking Lots: repairs to storm sewer and structures; spot repair and/or replacement of curb and gutter and sidewalks; base patching; spot repair and/or replacement of stamped colored concrete patio and concrete pavement; and the resurfacing and/or replacement of the driveways and parking lots. Public Works Garage Driveways and Parking Lots: installation of new concrete pavement; spot repair and/or replacement of sidewalks; base patching; and the resurfacing and/or replacement of the driveways and parking lots. Water Pollution Control Facility Pavement, Driveways, and Parking Lots: spot repair and/or replacement of curb and gutter and sidewalks; replacement and installation of new concrete pavement; base patching; and the resurfacing and/or replacement of the pavement, driveways, and parking lots. Armory Park Driveways and Parking Lots: potential public utilities repairs; spot repair and/or replacement of curb and gutter and sidewalks; base patching; and the resurfacing and/or replacement of the driveways and parking lots.
