Specifications include, but are not limited to:The proposed Maryland Parkway Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Project includes an approximately 12.5-mile route that extends the current Maryland Parkway bus route 109 service connecting the South Strip Transit Terminal in the south to the Las Vegas Medical District in the north. The project improvements include the construction of new transit shelters, shelter platforms, bollards, ad panels, removal of existing bituminous and concrete pavement, curb, gutter, sidewalk, and medians, removal of bus shelter pads, removal of landscaping, obstructions, and items in conflict with new construction work, construction of new pavement, curb, gutter, and sidewalk, construction of concrete bus pads, milling, ultra-thin asphalt concrete surfacing (UTACS) overlay, driveway reconstruction, replacement of traffic signal systems, installation and modification of service pedestals, removal and replacement of street light assemblies, installation of ITS facilities, signing and pavement marking, installation of red-colored pavement markings, construction of storm drain facilities, adjustment, removal, relocation and installation of utilities including sewer and water facilities, installation of landscaping and irrigation systems including trees, tree well grates, decomposed granite ground cover, root barriers, soil amendments, plant establishment and warranties, landscape restoration, retaining walls, and other work required to make a complete and serviceable project.
