Specifications include, but are not limited to: Garments to be custom fitted to individual firefighters for each set of gear. It will be the responsibility of the vendor to take the necessary measurements to ensure gear fits the intended recipient. Gear, which upon delivery does not fit the intended recipient, will not be accepted and replacement gear with the correct fitment will be issued at no additional cost to the Department. The following specifications detail design and materials criteria to afford protection to the upper and lower body, excluding the head, hands, and feet, against adverse environmental effects found during structural firefighting.
