Specifications include, but are not limited to: a. Contractor shall provide professional workmanship in procurement and installation of a quantity of (2) new Parker Kelly Mach N’ Roll C1050 LP Nuro boilers. All new boilers and boiler equipment should meet all the requirements of the life safety codes NFPA 2000, and the manufacture’s specifications. Verify with the Tuba City Juvenile Detention Center, that there are no hazardous materials in and around the existing boilers, existing boiler equipment and mechanical room, and (or) at the walls of the building regarding the project. Make sure all hazardous material has been abated before the boilers upgrade project starts. The mechanical subcontractor shall provide submittals and drawings of the boilers and boiler equipment that will be installed. All other necessary work to be properly install. Contractor shall remove all debris generated by or caused by the demolition work in this contract. The contractor bears all responsibility and all associated or related costs with removal and disposal of all debris form the property. Before the replacement boilers upgrade project begins, all hazardous material will be handled according to federal/state guidelines of removing and handling hazardous material. All Hazardous material are to be in sealed containers, transported and documented by using a manifest to an approved land fill location, off the Navajo Reservation; that take hazardous materials. Install new 3,000 PSI mix design concrete pads for the two new boilers. Anchoring and dowel the new concrete pads to the existing concrete floor. Relocate the existing water heater to use as temporary during new equipment and pipping installation. Make sure all electrical, domestic water pipping and gas piping are safely disconnected. Connect the electrical to the temperature system to the new boilers. Removal all existing boilers, boiler equipment, plumbing and existing old electrical equipment. Install all new boilers, domestic water equipment associated with the new boilers, and electrical equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendation where the warranty is not voided. Make sure all conduit and J-boxes are properly label with circuit number and to what C/B panel. Make sure all electrical conduits penetrations at fire rated walls and walls are fire sealed and (or) caulked. Install a typed-up revised or update C/B panels in the mechanical room. Make sure all rigging safety is used when setting new boilers and all new boiler equipment per the OSHA requirements. Complete the factory startup of the new boilers are installed. b. Provide warranty service on all applicable products and services. c. Meet a stringent schedule to meet the needs of the Tuba City Juvenile Detention Center. d. Site Work: The contractor will furnish all equipment, material and labor to complete the site work demo four water heaters and install two boilers. e. Demolition: The Contractor will demolish and dispose of all materials relating to the deconstruction of the existing fixtures required to complete improvements. Materials will be reused, recycled or disposed of as applicable. f. Installation: The Contractor will furnish all labor and materials necessary to complete the job. g. Boiler: The contractor will furnish all labor and materials necessary to complete the install and removing carpet work relating to this project. h. Clean up: The contractor will be responsible for all construction related clean up and debris disposal. The Contractor will also isolate work areas to minimize impact to non-work-related spaces: however, some dust and debris propagation should be expected.
