Specifications include, but are not limited to: - Consultant will review reports and conduct their own investigation and evaluation of the water towers and the water supply systems. The consultant will provide their own report and evaluations of the water tower and conditions, and make recommendations for upgrades, repair and/or replacement of any parts and equipment or materials as necessary to meet or exceed any OSHA, AWWA, or code and safety related regulations and authorities. - Provide cost estimate for each repair or new work suggested and required - The consultant must evaluate and understand the water supply system at both facilities. Existing conditions such as water pressure, any pump capacities, among others, must be reviewed so that the continuity of water supply to the facilities cannot be interrupted during construction. - The report will also detail the amount of work (in weeks or days) anticipated for interior and exterior coating of the water towers. - The consultant will also evaluate and recommend where pressure reducing devices are to be installed to ensure water continuity when water is supplied directly from well pumps - At St. Cloud, the consultant will review and determine if VFD devices are required to maintain water supply when the water tower is offline. - The method and design proposals during the design phase must be reviewed and approved by owner and facility staff. This method will be incorporated into the contract documents as appropriate. - For removal of any 3rd party installed equipment (such as leased space for antennas and other equipment), the owner will initiate the contact with the equipment providers/lessee’s to notify them of the project and necessity for removal, however the consultant will incorporate in the contract documents and also work with and coordinate the removal and reinstall of equipment. This includes but is not limited to communicating with the third party vendors the project details such as the construction schedule and duration, and the repair and/or install of new coatings, etc. - A private cellular carrier has a lease for antennas on the Faribault tower, and the State’s armor radio system has antennas on the St. Cloud tower
