Operate through up to 1000 feet of cable in sewerpipelines. 2.3 ROOT KILLER/INHIBITOR A. Registered with EPA for use in streams. B. Compatible with pipe materials present. C. Kills roots on contact. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 CLEANING & ROOT REMOVAL A. Follow SWS 7.1.1(b). & (c). B. Televising work includes costs for material disposal. Material disposal shall be incidental to the work. C. Completely remove all visible root intrusions in the designated sections. D. Contractor shall use an approved herbicide to treat pipeline sections with root intrusions. 1. Apply in strict accordance with manufacturer's recommendations. 2. All herbicide materials shall be delivered to the job Site in the original, labeled,and unopened containers. 3. Replace vegetation damaged by misuse or improper application. 4. Dispose of chemicals, and used containers in strict conformance with manufacturer's recommendations. 3.2 WATER USAGE A. Water required for cleaning or televising operations shall be furnished by Contractor. B. Costs associated with the use of water, including any permit fees, shall be included in the televising Work. Water will be provided at no cost by theOwner, but Contractor must coordinate with Public Works for meter installation. C. Obtain permit, meter, backflow prevention device, if required,from local Public Works – Water Utility. Obtain water only from the locations designated by the local Public Works – WaterUtility.
