Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Monthly or Quarterly Service Inspections includes but is not limited to: a) Inspect entire equipment for any oil, water and fuel leaks. Inspect entire exhaust system, air inlet system and turbo chargers. b) Inspect cooling system, including coolant condition, hoses, radiators, inlet, and outlet dampers. Inspect condition and tension of all belts. Test coolant freeze point and additive package (DCA) for proper corrosion inhibitors. c) Inspect fuel system, Including above ground main tank, day tank and day tank pump, all visible fuel lines and fittings. Clean sediment traps, drain water separators and replace fuel filters as required. d) Check conditions of starting batteries, record or adjust battery charge, inspect electrolyte levels and add fluid as needed. Verify charger settings and clean battery terminals as needed. e) Inspect generator control and engine wiring. Calibrate control meters. Inspect AC wiring at generator and automatic transfer switch(es). Inspect remote annunciator. Check all control instruments and lamps for proper operation. Verify proper settings on exercise clock in switch(es). Adjust as necessary. f) Run generator set to operating temperature and record instrument readings. During run test, verify switch(es) for proper operation to include logic, time delays, contacts, exercise cycle and switching of power source. Running of generator set under load for at least 30 minutes each quarter as authorized by customer. g) Provide a written inspection report to the owner or site representative (to be left at generator site), and send an electronic copy of the report to adam.winn@co.dakota.mn.us. Provide training of site personnel as requested. Also note any additional repairs or further work required to system. 1) Full Service Inspections Include: Full Service Inspections will include all of the Monthly or Quarterly Inspection items listed in (1) above, plus the following: a) Replace engine lubricating oil. New oil must meet generator manufacturer’s specifications. b) Replace lubrication, fuel, and coolant filters. Replacement lubrication components must meet manufacturer specifications. c) Used oil and components to be disposed of according to OSHA and EPA guidelines. 2) Coolant and Coolant System Parts Replacement Includes: a) Replace engine coolant. New coolant must meet generator manufacturer’s specifications. b) Replacement of associated coolant hoses, hose clamps, radiator cap, gaskets, o-rings, belts, thermostat, etc. New coolant components must meet generator manufacturer’s specifications. Provide with this Quote on separate sheet for each generator a list of all associated parts to be replaced at time of coolant replacement. d) Used coolant and components to be disposed of according to OSHA and EPA guidelines.
