Specifications include, but are not limited to: Professional Investigative Services by a dentist to be provided: Complaints a. Assist the Board’s administrative staff to intake, review, and process associated patient records and complaints against persons alleged to have violated provisions of the Kansas Dental Practices Act, K.S.A. 65- 1421 et seq. b. Assist the Board and its attorneys in the prosecution of all complaints filed against licensees by the Board. c. Assist the Board and its attorneys in the prosecution of all complaints filed against non-licensed persons who are engaging in the practice of dentistry or dental hygiene. d. Provide detailed written reports with outcome recommendations to the Board’s administrative staff for presentation to the Investigative Committee at regularly scheduled Investigative Committee meetings. e. Provide, as needed, sworn written or oral testimony before a court reporter, administrative hearing officer, court, or the Board regarding alleged violations of the Kansas Dental Practices Act, K.S.A. 65-1421 et seq. Investigative Committee Meetings f. Attend all of the Board’s regularly scheduled Investigative Committee meetings. g. Assist the Investigative Committee in determining outcomes of complaints and associated investigations. Board Meetings h. Attend all of the Board’s regularly scheduled public meetings. Record Reviews and Interviews i. Complete in-office record reviews and interviews on an as needed basis. General Guidelines from the Board j. Complete other duties as the Board or its designee, in its sole and exclusive discretion, may establish when performing investigative services.
