Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Contractor shall provide either a 30 or 35 cubic yard self-contained trash compactor and will be responsible for maintaining the trash compactor and ensuring that it is functional and leakproof. Contractor must replace trash compactor that is not in function or leak-proof condition immediately. Contractor must replace any trash receptacle or trash compactor damaged during the removal or disposal process immediately at no cost to the County. The County will not be held responsible for any damage to the trash receptacles or trash compactor that is a result of the removal or disposal process. Contractor is to wash and sanitize trash compactors and receptacles in compliance with the Environmental Improvement Board (EIB) rules. 2. Newer or used trash compactors and receptacles shall be delivered within 15 days of the Contractor’s receipt of the Notice of Award. Any used compactors and receptacles must be in good condition. 3. Additional trash disposal requested by SFCADF authorized personnel as deemed necessary. 4. The County has the option to request the Contractor to add or reduce the number of stationary trash compactors and trash receptacles as needed. 5. The County will provide electrical services necessary for trash compactors; responsibility limited to providing exisiting electrical power only. Equipment modifications will be the Contractor’s responsibility. The County has exisiting site set up for trash receptacles and trash compactors, which has met the need and specifications of all environmental rules and regulations. Should the Contractor request or require any modifications to the exisiting site, the Contractor shall perform these modifications at the Contractor’s expense. Modifications must meet or exceed all environmental rules and regulations of the Environmental Protection Agency. 6. The County retains the option of requesting services between regularly scheduled service intervals. The County also has the option of cancelling or reducing scheduled service if deemed necessary. The Contractor will not charge the County until the monthly billing has been adjusted accordingly to reflect the reduced pick up service. 7. Compactor and recycling bins located in the secure area of the loading dock must be picked up between 7:30am – 3:30pm, Monday – Friday. The Contractor must deliver containers back to the SFCADF by 4:45pm on the same day they are picked up.
