Specifications include, but are not limited to: Task 1 – Survey and stake the western boundary of Cell 1 and the associated parcel boundary in preparation for Task 2. Task 2 – Cell 1, west expansion. Fell, limb, and stack birch and spruce timber greater than seven inches diameter at breast height within the expansion area of Cell 1. Timber should be stacked within the IMD where it is out of the way and available for the public. Timber smaller than seven inches to be chipped of shredded, in lengths no greater than six inches, and disposed of in an organics disposal cell within the IMD. Strip and clear the overburden about 150-feet west of the existing disturbed area, leaving no less than 100-feet of undisturbed vegetation between the IMD boundary and the parcel boundary. Overburden shall be stacked where its out of the way yet convenient for future reclamation. During future reclamation, chipped or shredded wood can be mixed with overburden when it comes time to spread out the dirt during reclamation. Task 3 – Cell 3 Reclamation - Requires covering with organic material from the existing overburden stockpile, located immediately east of the cell, to support vigorous native vegetation growth. No additional slope grading is required. Overburden shall be spread in a layer of uniform thickness and track packed to reduce erosion. Task 4 - Cell 4 has been partially reclaimed and requires final grading to match the reclaimed slope of 3:1 or flatter. It also must be covered with a uniform layer of organic material from the stockpiles and tracked to minimize erosion potential. Overburden shall be spread in a layer of uniform thickness on the slope in this Cell.
