Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Office of Contracting and Procurement (OCP), on behalf of the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) is seeking a contractor to deliver a Master Carpentry training program offering certifications after successful completion of the course. The classes will be offered at New Beginnings Youth Development Center (NB) at 8400 River Road Laurel, MD 20724. The training program for the youth at New Beginnings Youth Development Center (NB) will use classroom and hands-on education providing construction management. Youth will obtain an OSHA Certification and construction management skills. The Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) of the Government of the District of Columbia is the District’s juvenile justice agency. DYRS administers detention, commitment and aftercare services for youth held in its care in its facilities or residing in the community. The mission of the DYRS is to improve public safety and give court-involved youth the opportunity to become more productive citizens by building on the strengths of youth and their families in the least restrictive, most homelike environment consistent with public safety.
