Coordination with City staff, which include Engineering, Economic Development, and Planning, on project development. • PUBLIC INVOLVEMENT & ENGAGEMENT To maintain a high level of communication with the public, a detailed and targeted public involvement strategy is needed. The City Communication Specialist and Consultant shall work in tandem to design a public engagement approach that builds on established relationships with community stakeholders while working to grow and nourish new relationships in the area. As part of the engagement strategy, the Consultant will manage project outreach and meeting material development, meeting logistics, and comment management. It is anticipated a minimum of two (2) public informational meetings and one (1) public hearing will be held during the Project to present concepts and gather public input. Two (2) work session meetings with the City Council will be included with the Project. The City Council will be kept informed of progress and proposed concepts for the duration of the Project. Key members of the Consultant’s Project team are expected to be present at all public meetings. Use NCHRP 1036 to guide the community conversation on the prioritization of the available street ROW use. • TRAFFIC Existing 2024 & Proposed 2044 (20-year) Traffic Volume & Distribution for the corridor limit (4th St to 22nd St, Central Avenue and White Street – only the oneway pair section for this corridor study) Consultant will develop alternatives for feasible options on these corridors with the factors above analyzing each intersection. Written report of study analysis including the factors, listed above, with feasible alternatives with cost estimates. • VISUAL ANIMATION & DISPLAYS Computer-generated animation and display of the project for use at public informational meetings and public hearings.
