Specifications include, but are not limited to: The duties of the Selected Qualified Environmental Professional shall include but is not limited to the following tasks: Community Engagement – Assist the City and community liaison in engaging the community and soliciting feedback on the proposed reuse alternatives of the Target Area. Community engagement will refine the preliminary reuse evaluation/alternatives already developed as well as identify other priority sites within the Target Area. Community members will be engaged through public meetings, newsletters, websites, and social media coordinated by Planning & Development staff, the Steering Committee, and the community liaison. Work under this task will include: a Community Involvement Plan (CIP) fact sheet and up to six (6) public meetings. Site Assessment - Phase I and Phase II site investigations have been performed for the Joy and Synergy Sites. These investigations identified various impacts to soil and groundwater; however, data gaps related to the nature and extent of contaminated materials and presence of potentially hazardous building materials at the Joy site remain. The QEP will conduct supplemental Phase II investigations to fill these data gaps for the purposes of refining cost estimates for cleanup activities. The investigations will be conducted in an iterative fashion The selected QEP will summarize the investigation results for each priority site.
