Specifications include, but are not limited to: The labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, seed, herbicide, and incidentals necessary to accomplish direct seeding and planting of hardwood tree species on 34.6 total acres of failed direct seeding fields that are invaded with box elder located within the Choice Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Fillmore County. Work will include mechanical site prep, spreading and incorporation of hardwood seed across all 6 sites with one year of chemical follow-up treatment to control weedy competition on the sites. Project consists of 8 jobs on 6 sites (Fields 3, 4, 6, 9, 11 and 12), all located within Choice WMA. Field acres are on attached maps. All sites are former direct seeding fields with box elder encroachment with access off County Road 13. Fields are shown on the site map below.
