The purpose of the Chief Human Resources Offices is to provide direction and services to promote a stable and qualified workforce in Oregon state government all the while reflecting the state's values of accountability, equity, excellence, and integrity. The Agency oversees state agencies' human resources (HR) functions: Classification and Compensation, Human Resources Policy and Compliance, Investigations, Executive Recruitment, Labor Relations and Workforce Development. Agency objectives are for the System to provide market data for Agency to: Access a total compensation comparison market data and compare with Agency existing pay practices. Compare the Agency’s compensation data with the market data. Benchmark positions and set competitive salary ranges. Utilize data to attract and retain qualified employees. Ensure positions performing similar work with essentially the same level of complexity, responsibility, and knowledge, skills, and abilities are classified together.
