Please note: This is a Sole Source Notification. Oregon State University intends to contract for the provision of an induction heating system from Nanotherics Ltd. as a sole source because of the uniqueness (design, capability, nature) of the goods and/or services. The instrument needs to generate alternating magnetic fields with various high frequencies between 100 - 450 kHz with a strength up to 20 mT and with a handheld unit connected to an external pancake coil that can produce the required magnetic field. Through research and discussion with other suppliers, Nanotherics Ltd. was identified as the only supplier making an instrument that can meet these requirements. An entity may appeal this determination in accordance with OSU Standard 03-010. Section 5.17 no later than the closing date indicated on the website.
