Specifications include, but are not limited to: undertake a wetland delineation of approximately 140 acres within the subject parcel. The subject area is indicated on the attached map. Wetland Delineation will be in accordance with US Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Northcentral and Northeast Region (Version 2.0), January 2012. Boundaries will be field delineated with sub‐zero flagging and each flag will be numbered. Flags will be hung approximately every 30 to 40 feet. The delineation will include the preparation of Federal Army Corps of Engineers (ACOE) Wetland Determination Data Forms as found in Appendix C of the above referenced supplement. If it is determined during the Wetland Delineation that an area exhibits the physical characteristics of a vernal pool(s), said pools will be noted and indicated on maps produced for this Wetland Delineation. 1. These Vernal Pools will also be surveyed for breeding amphibians and a determination of Significant Wildlife Habitat made in accordance with Maine Department of Environmental Protection. The Contractor will prepare a narrative description of wetland characteristics. This report will be prepared in a format acceptable by Maine Department of Environmental Protection and ACOE and submitted to the Department for review. The report will include ACOE data sheets and maps. The report and data can be provided in digital format; Microsoft Word or Adobe PDF format is acceptable for text and forms, ESRI personal geodatabase is acceptable for GIS/GPS data. The Contractor will GPS the location of wetland boundaries. Each flag will be located with a GPS receiver: the expected accuracy is 1 meter or less. The contractor will provide this data in the form of a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) personal geodatabase (a personal geodatabase schema will be provided by the department to include available, adjacent Wetland Delineation data). All data will be collected and provided in a format compliant with the MEARNG GIS Data Requirements to include FGDC metadata.
