Specifications include, but are not limited to: Bidder will ensure that all security officers assigned to Chemeketa meet the minimum requirements. 1) Security Officer(s) assigned to the College shall: a) Hold an Unarmed Private Security certification from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST); b) Undergo and successfully pass psychological testing; c) The testing will be provided by designated College-paid provider. d) Meet all requirements set forth in Senate Bill 576 “Kaylee’s Law;” e) Pass a background check, including a criminal history check, within the last six months prior to placement; i) Criminal background check information shall be provided to the College prior to assigning the security officer to the College. f) Possess a valid State of Oregon Driver’s License; i) Traffic violation records for all employees shall be submitted by Bidder to the College Director of Public Safety or designee at the time of assignment. g) Wear uniformed; h) Have a minimum of one-year prior experience in either security, military or law enforcement; i) Be physically fit (height, weight, etc.) and in good general health; and j) Be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language. i) Read and understand written/printed instructions, regulations, and orders; and ii) Compose basic security reports memorandums, and other communication in the English language.
