Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Operate 24 hours per day; 7 days a week, including Holidays (during an Emergency Declaration). • COUNTY SCHEDULED HOLIDAYS o Any day so declared by the Board of County Commissioners, the District Attorney, and the Sheriff. o New Year's Day (January 1st) o Dr. Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.'s Birthday (3rd Monday in January) o Presidents' Day (3rd Monday in February) o Memorial Day (last Monday in May) o Juneteenth (June 19th) o Independence Day (July 4th) o Labor Day (1st Monday in September) o Veterans' Day (November 11th), except for Library employees. o Thanksgiving Day (4th Thursday in November) o Christmas Eve Day -Library employees only. (See Addendum F for the dates on which the Christmas and New Year holidays will be observed by the Library Department.) o Christmas Day (December 25th) • Access to fuel, resources to allow you to operate 24 hours per day; 7 days a week, including holidays. • Accommodate a member of the County Program team riding along with the Driver to ensure guidelines for serving the community in a trauma-informed way are met. • Transportation for ambulatory and non-ambulatory guests. • Provide vehicles with lift capabilities and must be able to secure manual and electric wheelchairs and other mobility devices. • Transportation for guests with behavioral or cognitive disabilities, who may be unhoused, or with additional health conditions. • Transportation of guests with crated or leashed pets. • Drivers with the ability to operate lift safely and effectively. • Operate in/navigate all areas of the county in all weather conditions.
