Specifications include, but are not limited to: 4.1.1. The Supplier must have proper ANSI/IWCA I-14 (Window Cleaning Safety Standard) defined safety equipment and training to clean exterior windows on high rise buildings and interior high elevation windows with limited access. 4.1.2. The contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, transportation, and expertise to perform the tasks of cleaning windows. These items will be included in the unit pricing and not bid as individual items. 4.1.3. The contractor will secure all permits, licenses, and/or certificates required by federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules, or regulations for the proper execution of the work. 4.1.4. Contractor must be able to provide window cleaning services anywhere in Pima County (including Ajo, AZ; Mt. Lemmon; etc.). 4.1.5. Buildings with window screens will require that the window screens be opened if hinged and/or removed to access window glass. The screen and its associated frame will also be cleaned. Some County buildings have existing avian control netting that will require partial removal to gain access to exterior of windows. This should be included in line-item pricing. List of sites available upon request. 4.1.6. Entrance and exit doors with glass and all adjacent glazing will be included in the floor window count and will require cleaning as part of the regular services. 4.1.7. The contractor will not be responsible for moving office furniture, equipment, or personal items from in front of windows. Items will be moved ahead of time to allow access to interior windows. The contractor will bypass any windows with obstructions. 4.1.8. As needed, the contractor may be required to move aside or remove curtains or blinds to access internal windows. The contractor will then reinstall as part of the regular cleaning process. The contractor will do so without damaging these items. If damages occur Contractor will be responsible for reimbursement to County for repairs or replacements. Existing damaged blinds and curtains will be brought to the attention of the County prior to removal. 4.1.9. Chemicals used must not cause damage to window frames, walls, carpet, tile, furniture, or any surrounding areas including plants. An SDS sheet will be provided to the County for any chemicals used at County facilities. County reserves the right to reject the use of any product that is damaging or unsafe. County encourages the use of “green” cleaning products which are non-toxic and environmentally friendly whenever possible.
