Specifications include, but are not limited to: MANAGEMENT CONDITION & OBJECTIVES: The State of New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (NHFG) is seeking proposals to repair the access road surface and replace and upgrade drainage and drainage structures on the 1,096 acre property known as Lower Shaker Wildlife Management Area in Enfield, NH in the 2024 fiscal year. MANAGEMENT SUMMARY: The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department is owner of lands throughout the state referred to as Wildlife Management Areas (WMA). There are a number of access roads on the Lower Shaker WMA that are in need of repair and upgrades. The damage to these gravel roads is the result of years of erosion on steep inclines combined with undersized drainage and a lack of maintenance. The project will involve the replacement of four significant drainage structures, the installation of one drainage structure, the filling of major washouts, and the filling grading and ditching of 4,300 feet +/- of access road. This work will be supervised by NHFG staff and completed before September 30, 2024 using funds from fiscal year 2024. Maps and descriptions of the work to be completed are attached and will be provided, and NHFG staff will be available in person and via cell phone while the work is in progress. The roads and trails are restricted to public use of motor vehicles but are used by pedestrians and for forest and wildlife habitat management access. NHFG has and will coordinate with all State and Federal agencies to secure reasonable access to all required portions of the WMA. It is a requirement that the awarded contractor have the equipment and personnel required to do the proposed work and access the required work sites. The resulting contract will be Not to Exceed for the term beginning from the date of approval of the Governor and Executive Council through September 30, 2024. The contract term may be extended by an additional term of 1 year at the sole option of the Agency, subject to the parties’ prior written agreement and required governmental approvals including Governor and Executive Council.
