Specifications include, but are not limited to: The City is seeking qualified applicants to develop affordable housing through the Bowling Green Housing Recovery Program (BGHRP). The purpose of the BGHRP is to increase the existing affordable housing inventory. The City’s objective is to maximize the funding, identify the highest and best uses for the funding, while obtaining the greatest number of units for the best value. Multiple awards may be funded as a result of this solicitation. The selected applicant(s) must serve in the capacity as developer/owner, develop an affordable housing project, provide long-term operations of the affordable housing project, where applicable, and ensure affordability for a minimum 20-year affordability period. Upon identification and selection of eligible project(s), the City will enter into negotiations with the developer(s)/owner(s) for the development agreement.
