Specifications include, but are not limited to: To construct a new Fire Station 14. The existing Fire Station located at 5757 S. Liberty Av. has outlived its operational life and needs to be replaced. The staffing size and number of vehicles has outgrown the existing facility so the City has designed a new Fire Station that will meet current needs of Tucson Fire Department (TFD) and the Community. The new Station will be approximately 14,000 square-feet with four (4) apparatus bays, and living spaces to accommodate 13 full time firefighting staff. The City of Tucson recently purchased property at 5580 S. Nogales Hwy where the new Fire Station 14 will be constructed . The existing station will be utilized until the new facility is constructed and remain as an unoccupied facility after fire operations are moved to the new station.
