Specifications include, but are not limited to: The scope of services to be performed by the Consultant shall be completed in accordance withgenerally accepted standards of practice. Consultant may outline key tasks they expect will berequired. The specific scope of services and associated consultant fees will be negotiated uponselection of a Consultant. The key tasks at a minimum will include:1. Develop a climate action and adaptation plan (CAAP), using the AWWA and EPA for Water Utilities manuals as guidance. The CAAP must identify and address both directand indirect risks, vulnerabilities and impacts for a water system. The CAAP should also make recommendations for mitigation and adaptation measures to be implemented and detail the costs associated with each along with identifying local, state, federal and grant funding opportunities available to fund the recommendations. Projects should be prioritized and a suggested timeline for implementation should also be included. DesMoines Water Works currently has an emergency response manual that addresses fire, severe weather, flooding, etc. that can be used as reference.2. Document the plan in a report to be presented to DMWW staff.
