Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. DECORATIVE ROCK: Material will be in an assortment of colors, such as Apache Red, Madison Gold, Apache Pink, Yavapai Coral, Mesa Gold, Jesse Red, Saddleback Brown, Desert Spice, Arizona Blonde, Sierra Gold, and Apache Brown. 2. CLAY: For use on softball and baseball fields as an infield and mound conditioner. Materials must have a high percentage of clay and silt that mixes with and allows water to infiltrate lower layer of existing soil. 3. INFIELD MIX, STABILIZER RED: For use on softball and baseball fields. Natural ingredients in concentrated powder adheres to crushed aggregate screenings and other stone dust to produce an excellent infield conditioner with an attractive red color that compacts for a firm base but is easily scarified to create the desired infield cushion. Material must be non-toxic, odorless, and non-abrasive and will not stain uniforms. Material shall consist of 2,800 pounds per cubic yard. 4. LEACH ROCK: Crushed or fractured rock must be draining field rock, not to exceed 2” in size. 5. MOUND AND PLATE MIX: For use on softball and baseball fields (pitcher’s mound and batter’s box). Material is not sticky when wet but acts as a natural glue retaining moisture in hot weather. 6. PEA GRAVEL: Chip rock must not exceed 3/8” in size and be free of clay, silt, and sand particles. 7. PIT RUN GRAVEL (Aggregate Base): Must be a combination of 50% sand and 50% chipped rock, which does not exceed 3/4" in size. Aggregate must be different than that used for street maintenance. 8. RIP RAP: Ranging from 3” to 8” in size. Material used for erosion prevention. 9. SAND, FILL: For use in filling sandbags or areas that need additional earth-type material. Material must be free of vegetation, large rocks, or other debris. 10. SAND, PLASTER (FINE-WASHED): For use on athletic fields; must be mechanically washed by supplier and be free of clay and silt. During screening process sand must pass through a #4 screen but not a #6 screen. Natural river-washed sand will only be accepted if it is mechanically washed a minimum of two times. 11. SAND, PREMIUM GRADE ENGINE (GREENS GRADE): For use on Golf Course greens; must meet USGA specifications. The sand must have minimal fines content, uniform spreading with grading tolerance, excellent porosity, and consistent grading to ensure no twigs, shells or rocks are within the mix. It is also required to have a low EC or salt content. Presence of rocks, pebbles, or other debris and without silt or clay particles, will be cause for rejection of delivery of this product. Due to the wide variety of premium sand used on golf greens, the City reserves the right to source “premium” sand outside this contract as needed. 12. SAND, SAND TRAP: For use on golf course sand traps. Material must be free of vegetation and other debris. Due to the wide variety of sand used to change playing conditions on golf course bunkers, the City reserves the right to source “sand trap” sand outside this contract as needed. 13. SAND, TOP DRESSING: For use on ball fields or other areas. Material must be mesa type, fine particles, silt-free and clay-free. Double-washed sand to allow air and water penetration. 14. WARNING TRACK MIX, STABILIZED, 1/4” MINUS: For use on athletic fields or other areas. Crushed aggregate screenings must be crushed down to fine particles (1/4” minus) with Stabilizer®.
