Specifications include, but are not limited to: Contractor shall: 3.1. Provide gender-responsive, evidence-based programming for adult females and their children, five (5) years of age or under. 3.2. Provide the facility site to be located within 40 miles of a Arizona State Prison Complex in either Maricopa County, Pinal County, or Pima County. 3.3. The contractor shall provide comprehensive health services to the program participants and their children. 3.4. Provide trauma training to clinical as well as non-clinical staff. Conduct a Trauma Screening assessment when appropriate not to hinder progress made by the participant. 3.5. Provide culturally competent services and possess the willingness and ability to value the importance of culture in the delivery of services. Promote quality services to all by valuing the differences and integration of cultural attitudes, beliefs, and practices into the program, and consider cultural attitudes, beliefs and practices in the diagnostic and treatment methods to be used. 3.6. Develop a therapeutic environment that is women-centered, safe, secure, supportive, and nurturing. Such an environment encourages trust, bonding, and connection. The primary characteristic of a therapeutic environment for women is safety. The therapeutic environment must also be inviting, welcoming, and have culturally appropriate decorations and pictures. 3.7. Ensure that the residents are identifiable by identification cards and clothing.
