Specifications include, but are not limited to: Develop and deliver voluntary in-person and virtual trainings to workers providing self-directed support services for people who need assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs). These are activities a person needs to do on a daily basis. ADLs include dressing, grooming, bathing, positioning, eating, transfers, mobility, and toileting. The target population is workers who provide direct support services in the PCA Choice, Consumer Directed Community Supports, CFSS budget model, and Consumer Support grant programs. The workers eligible to attend the trainings represent a diverse group with respect to age, race, abilities, preferred language, socio-economic status, urban/rural settings, national origin, learning styles, and other demographic factors. The qualified Responder will develop and deliver trainings on two topics: 1) reducing stress and burnout through effective communication, and 2) self-care techniques for direct support workers. The trainings will be delivered in-person and virtually throughout the state of Minnesota.
