Specifications include, but are not limited to: The desired Services are an integral part of State, Complex, and School strategies for providing safe, nurturing, and supportive OST programs. The successful Offeror(s) (CONTRACTOR(s)) will be expected to implement actions and strategies described in the Offeror’s proposal to address the specific needs identified in the school or complex academic plans, community engagement plans, or STATE technical assistance or specialized support needs. The scope of work expected from CONTRACTORs includes, but is not limited to, services to schools; professional development; technical assistance; and specialized support in: Academic enrichment Character education College and career development Drug and violence prevention Elementary enrichments Family engagement and literacy Fine arts, performing arts, and music Nutrition and health education Physical fitness and sports Service learning Social and emotional health Technology, robotics, coding, and STEM Tutorial services Youth leadership development; CONTRACTOR(s) who offer services for schools that have the A+ Program may provide professional development and/or training opportunities aligned with the Hawaii State Department of Human Services Health and Safety training requirements. Approved training topics include: Physical care of the young child Care of the sick child Child nutrition Child growth and development Children with special needs Learning activities and play Family engagement Managing challenging behaviors Community resources Prevention of child maltreatment and abuse First aid and child CPR Health and safety Child care business or program management Physical environment
