Specifications include, but are not limited to: ▪ Coordinating the cleaning of the tank interior floor and walls by a pressure washer to remove all sediment, silt, etc. without compromising the tank lining. Potable water shall be used in the washing activity. The residual material shall be removed from the tank and properly disposed of; ▪ Evaluating the structural condition and identifying potential corrosion of the tank using an ultrasonic gage and pit gauge; ▪ Evaluating the condition of any coating present; ▪ Disinfecting the tank in accordance with AWWA C652 after the work has been completed; ▪ Ensuring the tank is properly sealed and installing a gasket replacement if necessary; ▪ Compiling a report summarizing the findings of the inspection. A copy of the report shall be provided to the water system owner, primary operator and NHDES; ▪ Meet with NHDES at least three weeks prior to the start of the project; and ▪ Meet (in person or remotely) with each system owners or their assigned representatives and primary operator before performing any work at each system.
