Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department of Agriculture, Conservation & Forestry (Department) is seeking boundary line maintenance services as defined in this Request for Proposal (RFP) document. This document provides instructions for submitting proposals, the procedure and criteria by which the awarded Bidder will be selected, and the contractual terms which will govern the relationship between the State of Maine (State) and the awarded Bidder. The Public Lands portion of the Maine Bureau of Parks & Lands owns over 600,000 acres statewide which requires maintenance of 1,000’s of miles of boundary (property) lines. Maintenance of these lines prevents timber trespass and other types of trespasses along with maintaining good relationships with abutters. Failure to maintain these lines periodically requires costly boundary line surveys to reestablish the lines along with increasing the chances of the aforementioned types of trespass.
