Specifications include, but are not limited to: Principals convene to engage in two days of professional development. Two hundred fifty Albuquerque Public School principals, assistant principals, and district leaders will attend plenary sessions and work in break-out sessions to learn about how to improve school culture, specifically to learn about equity and culturally sustaining and revitalizing pedagogies to increase academic outcomes for all students and better develop the whole child in preparation for college and career. Scope of Work 1. Presenters are asked to prepare presentations delivered over two days in plenary and workshop settings. 2. Plenary and break-out session speakers are asked to prepare engaging and interactive presentations with supporting resources for the principal’s future reference. 3. Presentation content includes strategies for authentically integrating the APS goals and priorities. 4. Presentations develop culturally responsive leaders who know and can ensure that students have school experiences that enable all students to have a positive pathway to adulthood, particularly those furthest from justice. 5. Presentations assist principals in creating and implementing school vision and mission that reflect a commitment to equity and aspirations of each student. 6. Presentations assist principals in creating safe, culturally inclusive environments that attend to the well-being of all community members, students, parents, community members, teachers, and staff. 7. Presentations will assist principals in developing systems for collaboration between members of the school and the broader community, especially those furthest from justice, to create a school culture reflective of a focus on community-based funds of knowledge.
