Specifications include, but are not limited to: 1. Review of source language documents to abstract the message from the words and word order to determine the correct conceptual and semantic language matches. 2. Correct use of syntax, sentence structure, grammar, punctuation, and capitalization. 3. Strategic use of research tools and software. 4. Accurate formatting of documents for electronic and print publication, as per CareOregon instructions. 5. Ensure that language translation services are technically correct and culturally proper. 6. Provide written translation services (from English to another language or vice versa) for Limited English Proficiency (“LEP”) clients. 7. Review translations for accuracy. Document translation should be conducted so as to faithfully and accurately convey the meaning of the source language. 8. Work with CareOregon to maintain accurate documentation of English and second language translations in an archive format. 9. Transfer translations electronically in a secure format. 10. Desktop publishing, including formatting member documents on branded materials. 11. Provide mp3 audio versions or another audio format, depending on Proposer’s capabilities. 12. Provide braille documents as requested, depending on Proposer’s capabilities. 13. CareOregon’s translation volume varies. We are looking for vendors that can collectively meet around 500 translation projects per month.
